The homeowners wanted a fresh new kitchen that was updated and bright. Their old dark cabinets were replaced with fresh new ones from Signature Custom Cabinetry. (Perimeter cabinets are stained with Benjamin Moore “Pale Oak”; island and beverage center are “Pompeii”) Top Knobs supplied the sleek pulls (Transcend Ascendria in Honey Bronze). The old awkwardly shaped island was replaced with a simple, more functional one that allows for better traffic flow throughout. A useful new beverage center now graces where the ovens used to be. The ovens, cooktop, and refrigerator were moved to much more functional and accessible areas. Tile from Cloister Flooring America adds a calming blue hue and provides a dramatic backdrop for both the window and hood (4×12″ Morning Fog). The clean white countertop with grey veining is from Natural Stoneworks (Corian Quartz, Calcatta Natura). Luxe Gold plumbing fixtures from Bath Barn and modern appliances from Martin Appliance make the space both attractive and well working.
