We are very excited to host another BIA Building Futures: Construction Career Day. Over 400 students attended the event last year and we expect to exceed those numbers in 2024! Activities
The Interview Exchange – Ephrata National Bank’s HR department will be on hand to discuss interview and resume techniques. Fine tune your interview skills by participating in a mock interview.
Building Empowerment: Women of the BIA—Women in the building industry will share their professional experiences through a panel discussion starting at 11:00 a.m. Join them in the Building Empowerment Booth for one-on-one interactions. Get a female’s perspective on working within the construction trades.
Mystery Material Bag Activity – Create a structure from a variety of materials for a chance to win a prize.
Community Projects: Help build picnic tables and benches for Wheatland Middle School’s garden and planters to be donated to Luther Acres Retirement Community.
Unilock – Hands-on demonstration of an outdoor grill island.
Milwaukee Tools – Check out the latest in Milwaukee tools and talk with a representative to learn about the different tools used in construction.
Economic Outlook on Housing Presentation—Join us at 1:30 pm to hear National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Economist Danushka Nanayakkara-Skillington discuss the challenges of labor shortages, building materials issues, and regulatory hurdles in the home building industry.
