The Economic Impact of Home Building in Lancaster County Does housing pay its way in Lancaster County? The resounding answer is "Yes!" according to a study completed by National Association of Home Builders Senior Economist Elliot Eisenberg. Looking at jobs, income, and tax revenue generated from new homes built versus costs to local governments, new housing pays for itself within two years, and keeps on giving back every year thereafter.
