NextGen Career Insights Panel Discussion (11:00 am) – Hear from BIA NextGen members as they share what it’s like to launch and grow a career in the building industry, offering real-world insight and advice for future professionals.
Ask a Professional Panel Discussion (12:30) – Hear directly from industry experts representing a variety of construction careers! During this interactive panel, professionals will share insights about their fields, career paths, and day-to-day experiences. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, explore different trades, and gain valuable advice for building their future in construction.
BIA Building Empowerment: Women of the BIA Roundtable Discussions (10:30 am & 1:00 pm) Students are invited to connect with women professionals from across the building industry in these relaxed, small-group conversations. Hear real stories, ask questions, and get honest advice about career paths, workplace experiences, and what it’s like to build a future in construction. It’s an inspiring opportunity to learn from those who’ve been there and discover the many ways women are shaping the industry.
BIA NextGen Roundtable Discussions (12:00 pm & 1:30 pm) – Join relaxed, small-group conversations with young professionals who are building their careers in construction. Students can ask questions, hear real experiences about day-to-day work, and gain practical advice for getting started. It’s an inviting way to learn about the many career paths and opportunities the industry has to offer.
BIA Build Your Dream Raffle Drawing (1:30 pm) – Don’t miss the exciting moment when the winning ticket is drawn! Be there to witness the announcement of the lucky winner of the Build Your Dream Raffle.
The Interview Exchange (All Day) – Ephrata National Bank’s HR department will be on hand to discuss interview and resume techniques. Fine tune your interview skills by participating in a mock interview.
Mystery Material Bag Challenge (All Day) – Put your creativity and problem-solving skills to the test! Using only the materials inside your mystery bag, you’ll design and build a structure or project that can withstand real-world challenges like weight, height, or wind. Think like a builder, work like an engineer, and see what you can create!
Community Projects (All Day) – Participants will help build benches for Shenks Ferry Wildflower Preserve and planter boxes for The Edible Classroom, combining skill-building with community impact.
Milwaukee Tools (All Day) – Check out the latest in Milwaukee tools and talk with a representative to learn about the different tools used in construction.
Pella Windows & Doors Steady Set Install Demonstration (All Day) – “This live demonstration will showcase the quick and easy process of installing a window from inside the home—eliminating the need for exterior access. Each demo takes about five minutes and will run continuously throughout the day.
VR Construction Experience (All Day) – Presented by PA CareerLink of Lancaster County
Try out virtual reality headsets and step into a construction setting. This interactive carpentry module gives students a chance to explore the world of building in a fun and engaging way.
