Winner Ribbon In 2024 Lezzer Lumber, through the Building Industry Foundation, created and awarded the Maurice Lezzer and Kenneth Lezzer Legacy Scholarships. The funding for these comes from our employee community outreach committee (CORE), which does fundraising throughout the year, with its primary beneficiary being the support of young people entering the trades. In 2024 the scholarships went to a Thaddeus Stevens Carpentry student and a Penn State Architectural Design student. In addition, CORE supports many grassroots organizations in the community, like The Edible Classroom, which builds raised garden beds at elementary schools across the county to teach where food comes from and proper nutrition. We support their efforts with donated materials and volunteers to assist in construction. Lezzer Lumber is also proud of its support of the Lancaster/Lebanon Habitat for Humanity through product discounts and donations, as well as volunteer support. With the cost of home ownership out of reach for so many, supporting Habitat’s mission to make the dream of home ownership a reality for so many in our community is an honor.
