While we can trace our roots in the lumber industry back to the late 1800s, our organization officially incorporated as GR Mitchell in 1969. And while our product assortment has undoubtedly changed since then, lumber remains at the core of what GR Mitchell provides to our customers. With guidance from the industry’s best, we’ve let our customers guide us on the products we need to have at the ready to make their jobs run efficiently and profitably. Beyond lumber, GR Mitchell’s assortment includes everything from the smallest nut, fitting, or fuse up to stairs, windows, decking, and other materials necessary to build beautiful homes. GR Mitchell’s dependable delivery of building materials is the most common service we offer to our customers, but our kitchen design team has refined its ability to act as an extension of builders and remodelers to delight homeowners. But the services we offer to our customers don’t stop there. GR Mitchell’s architectural millwork team can make any builder’s (or their homeowner customer’s) vision for custom trim, one-of-a-kind doors, or historical reproductions a reality. With over 100 years of experience on staff, they can turn raw wood into whatever you can imagine. And if installation is a requirement, GR Mitchell’s turnkey construction division, Prime Builder Services, offers builders an all-in-one supply and install option, too. But offering best-in-class products and services doesn’t mean much if nobody is aware, so sharing information about the building industry and GR Mitchell is a top priority. Weekly training from manufacturer reps is an invaluable asset to our internal team, learning about the latest and most beneficial advancements in building materials. We extend these learning sessions, in addition to product engagement events, to our customers. Frequent check-ins with customers from our team, in addition to bulk emails and social media content, ensure that GR Mitchell’s customers stay fully informed.
