The Lancaster Building Industry Foundation exists to provide, by means of charitable giving, community-based opportunities, education and service related to the building industry.
Scholarship Information
Through the Lancaster Building Industry Foundation you are able to help underwrite scholarships for individuals studying in areas related to the building industry. Not only does this benefit the students themselves, but it also helps ensure that the industry has a steady stream of well-trained employees. We are now accepting scholarship applications for the 2024/2025 school year. Application deadline is April 30th, 2024.
Scholarships in your Company’s Name
We would be honored to partner with your company and provide a named scholarship through the LBI Foundation! The Foundation has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to students studying industry-related trades. Creating a scholarship through the LBIF allows your company to avoid the cost and complexity of establishing a separate scholarship entity.
Grants
The Lancaster Building Industry Foundation also is committed to providing grants to non-profit organizations, building trade technologies, schools, and community centered programs.
About the Lancaster Building Industry Foundation
In 1993, the members of the Building Industry Association of Lancaster County created the Lancaster Building Industry Foundation by which to make charitable contributions in the areas of education, research and affordable housing. Over the years, the foundation has contributed:
- Over $300,000 in scholarships and grants to students and local organizations
- Gifts of materials, supplies along with hours of labor
- The Foundation has committed to a $35,000 contribution over the next several years to Hand-On-House’s new exhibit: HOH Construction Co. It will feature a job site structure and integrate unique trade exhibits.
