Providing Community Grants & Scholarships
The Lancaster Building Industry Foundation is committed to building a stronger future through charitable giving that supports education, workforce development, and community-based opportunities within the building industry.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement
The skilled trades build for everyone—and the future of the construction industry depends on this diverse participation, regardless of race, gender, background, or circumstance. At the Lancaster Building Industry Foundation, we are committed to expanding access and opportunity through scholarships, community service projects, and industry-related grants that support a diverse and inclusive pipeline of talent in the building trades.
Scholarship Information
Through the Lancaster Building Industry Foundation you are able to help underwrite scholarships for individuals studying in areas related to the building industry. Not only does this benefit the students themselves, but it also helps ensure that the industry has a steady stream of well-trained employees. We are now accepting scholarship applications for the 2025/2026 school year. Application deadline is April 30th, 2025.

Scholarships in your Company’s Name
We would be honored to partner with your company and provide a named scholarship through the LBI Foundation! The Foundation has awarded over $350,000 in scholarships to students studying industry-related trades. Creating a scholarship through the LBIF allows your company to avoid the cost and complexity of establishing a separate scholarship entity.

Grants
The Lancaster Building Industry Foundation also is committed to providing grants to non-profit organizations, building trade technologies, schools, and community centered programs.

About the Lancaster Building Industry Foundation
Founded in 1993 by the members of the Building Industry Association of Lancaster County, the Lancaster Building Industry Foundation serves as the charitable arm of the association, channeling resources, expertise, and hands-on support to initiatives that strengthen our community.
Through scholarships, grants, and volunteer labor, the Foundation focuses on key areas: education, affordable housing, and community needs that align with the skills of our association members.
